This is a brief history of Tompolo, a key figure in the Niger Delta region. He was a member of the Niger Delta People's Volunteers Force (NDPVF) and later established his own militant group, MEND. He fought against the Nigerian Army and was granted amnesty in 2009. In 2016, Buhari ordered his arrest, but they couldn't defeat him, and the government was forced to negotiate a contract with him. He is also the priest of the river goddess Egbesu.
