Two Chapitos operators, Eonofre Valdez Elenes (alias “Cofre”) and Noel Elenes Higuera (alias “Juri”), were killed in Culiacán, Sinaloa, on April 22, 2025. They were previously indicted in 2017 for trafficking heroin, cocaine, and meth into the US, allegedly working with Jesus Abel Cazares Elenes (“El Trouca”) and Jeuri Limon Elenes (“El Fox”). El Trouca was killed in September 2023, and his brother's head was found in March 2025. Jeuri Limon Elenes remains at large and was sanctioned in July 2023. He is also linked to Ricardo and Saul Paez Lopez, who are involved in acquiring precursor chemicals for fentanyl production.
