The seven Govoni brothers (Dino, Emo, Augusto, Ida, Marino, Giuseppe, and Primo) were kidnapped by Garibaldi Brigade partisans after the war on May 11, 1945. Along with ten others, they were tortured and murdered at a farmhouse, their bodies buried in a tank ditch, and their belongings stolen.
